Youthline America is working with Young People, Schools, Youth Programs and Government Agencies to map America.
Mapping America is a process in which youth and adults from across America canvass their communities, block by block, and identify services in their neighborhood for young people, children and families.
It’s simple: Youth are employed to gather data on resources in their community and those resources are represented on a free online resource, ilivehere.info. This type of activity is perfect for programs seeking to provide meaningful technology and communications-based work experiences to groups of young people.
Youth Benefits Include:
- Employment Skills
- Community Involvement
- Connection to Resources
- Team Work
- Positive Peer Experiences
- Post-Secondary Education
- Success
- Confidence
The vision of Youthline America is to create an online resource for youth by youth.
