Digital Corps… the human connection in a digital world.

Digital Corps members will build, market and maintain Youthline America’s national youth communication system.

Members of the Corps will be:

  • Trained and Educated in both 2.0 technologies and in GIS. Corps Members will develop analytical skills to examine community issues using data and technology.
  • Mappers who will train community members to identify youth and family resources in their neighborhood, to analyze and advocate using the data collected from mapping, and to enter this data onto their local ilivehere.info youth information websites.
  • Building and Populating ILiveHere by entering the data collected from the mapping process onto the ilivehere.info website. This data will provide youth and adults easy access to information specific to their address and zip code.
  • Listeners who operate the Youthline. The Youthline’s Digital Corps will employ thousands of youth and provide them with 100 hours of training that will teach them how to become effective youth Listeners on the Youthline.

Over time Corps Members will be the Change Agents who produce the following outcomes:

  • 1 million youth will have participated in Mapping by December 2010.
  • 57,000 daily unique visitors on the ilivehere.info website by 2010.
  • 10 million human connections (calls) in 2012, answered by a trained Digital Corps of 2000 youth.

The Digital Corps is looking for special young people who want to make a difference for the Youth in America by listening, informing and problem solving to the next level.

The Digital Corps is a program of Youthline America.
