The website combined with the work of the Resource Providers our Partners will create a human connection in a digital world.

Targeted Audiences

This website serves two distinct sets of users, Consumers and Resource Providers:

The Consumers are young people, parents, and professionals interested in resources and opportunities in their area. Another kind of consumer are designated local contacts who are able to gather and analyze data for a specific geographic area. These designated local contacts could be elected officials and/or intermediaries who have legitimate authority and interest in making such information available.

The second set of users, Resource Providers, are organizations and opportunities that choose to have profiles on the site and have access to the back office information on the site. Resource Providers are also the Partners that have crosswalked their data onto the site and whose database information are linked to ilivehere.info.

Functions

The individual Consumer can enter in their zip code and receive information on Resource Providers specific to their geographic area. This Consumer can also  map their neighborhood resources through the use of the Google Maps API that also contains public transportation information and is accessible over mobile devices.

The designated local contact will will be able to create a local version of the ilivehere.info site for their locality that will only show the local data they have collected.

By choosing to be listed on the site, Resource Providers will be able to have their data updated and refreshed on the website through traditional web-based data entry methods or through the use of web services technology.  This technology now makes it feasible for Resource Providers to take responsibility for keeping their information current and accessible with minimal effort. Also, local geographic entities (cities, counties, and states) will be able to group their data.

The website also contains face pages for every program listed on the site and allows for the addition of videos, pictures and other multimedia devices to spread knowledge on programs and issues. The site will also contain a message board for organizations to interact with each other, and a monitored message board for young people to connect and discuss resources in their neighborhood.
